This bevel panel raiser has a cutting depth of 1-1/8 in. and can be used on stock up to 1-1/8 in. thick. The back cutter cuts 3/8 in. D plus a 3/16 in. radius relief. The tongue will be 1/4 in. thick and can be inserted into a door frame with a slot of up to 3/8 in. D. This is a heavy-duty bit with a 1/2 in. shank. Like our standard raised panel bits, these bits create a beautiful profile for the center panel of rail and stile doors while at the same time, cutting away the back surface of the stock to reduce its thickness even further. Install 1 of these bits in your high-powered table mounted router and route your panels face down. Raised panel router bits have a large diameter and remove a lot of material, so make sure you have a router with enough horsepower to handle this kind of work. All standard raised panel bits are fitted with radial bearings to make adjustment of the router table fence easy. Do not use these bits in handheld routers.
