KVM-TEC MVX1-F Masterline Fiber Extender – DVI & USB over Fiber

The KVM-TEC MVX1-F Masterline Fiber Extender is a comprehensive transmitter and receiver set designed to extend DVI and USB signals seamlessly over multimode fiber cables up to 1640 feet without any noticeable delay. This product supports HDMI signals via a DVI-to-HDMI adapter (available separately), although it doesn’t transmit audio. It’s capable of handling high-resolution displays up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz. The receiver unit is equipped with a DVI output and four USB type-A ports, making it highly versatile for various applications. Both the transmitter and receiver units come with an SPF multimode module, which is compatible with multimode fiber cables (class OM3 or better) using LC connectors. For extended distances, optional single-mode modules can be utilized. Furthermore, the system can be integrated with switches to expand its reach to up to 48 endpoints. The units are designed to be compact, with both the transmitter and receiver being of the same size, allowing up to four units to be rack-mounted in a standard 19-inch 1 RU rack.
