The VP228QG 21.5″ 16:9 FreeSync LCD Monitor from ASUS delivers high image quality within a classic, elegant design, thanks to SplendidPlus and VividPixel technologies, plus a slim profile. It has an anti-glare panel featuring a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 with a 75 Hz refresh rate, Twisted Nematic (TN) technology, support for 16.7 million colors and 72% of the NTSC color gamut, a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, an ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio of 100,000,000:1, 250 cd/m2 brightness, and a 1 ms (GtG) response time. Using the 170° horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angles, it is possible to watch content from virtually any position. This display has one HDMI port, one DisplayPort, and one VGA port. The DisplayPort and HDMI ports also support audio, which can be output using the dual integrated 1.5W stereo speakers, and there is also a 3.5mm audio input jack.
ASUS has engineered the VP228QG with support for AMD FreeSync, which helps to eliminate screen tearing and choppy frame rates, as well as their Blue Light Filter to emit flicker-free images with low blue light levels. To further help improve viewing and accessibility, the display features a vertical tilt of -5 to 20°.
