The DRW-24F1ST 24x Internal SATA Multi DVD Writer from ASUS is a Windows 8, 7, Vista, and XP compatible optical drive that supports a broad range of 8 and 12cm media, including DVD±R (SL/DL), DVD±RW, DVD-ROM (SL/DL), DVD-RAM, CD-R, CD-RW, and CD-ROM. It features a maximum DVD write speed of 24x, a maximum DVD read speed of 16x, and a maximum CD write speed of 48x. It also supports DVD playback at 6x and Audio CD and VCD playback at 16x. This drive mounts within your system’s 5.25″ drive bay using a SATA connection with access times of 130 ms for DVDs and 170 ms for CDs.
