Designed for educators, hobbyists, and engineers who want to start printing out of the box, the H400+ 3D Printer from Afinia has been improved over their original H400. The H400+ has been upgraded with an Ethernet socket, for printing over wired networks. Thanks to print queue functionality, multiple users can submit print jobs to the same H400+ from different devices via USB, LAN, and Wi-Fi, while an updated 4.3" LCD touchscreen has additional features and functionality and can also be upgraded with future software updates. Lastly, a HEPA and activated carbon filter helps to reduce toxic elements generated from certain printing materials, such as ABS.
The Afinia H400+ employs melted extrusion modeling (MEM) print technology, features a build volume of 4.7 x 4.7 x 4.7", and has a layer resolution of 150-350 microns. It uses 1.75mm ABS and PLA filaments and has an enclosed print chamber. The print bed itself features software-assisted leveling, is heated, and utilizes automatic nozzle height detection. This 3D printer can be controlled locally using the 4.3" LCD color touchscreen display, as well as remotely using Wi-Fi connectivity via Afinia’s mobile app. It is able to print using USB 2.0 Type-B, LAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity, and it also has a USB 2.0 Type-A port for printing from a flash drive. It operates using an included 90W power adapter that runs using 100-240 VAC at 50-60 Hz. In the case that power to the H400+ is interrupted, Power Failure Protection allows printing to resume where it left off after power is restored.
The Afinia H400+ 3D Printer is compatible with Windows 7 and later, Mac OS 10.10, and iOS devices, such as the iPad and iPhone. It comes with a 500g spool of 1.75mm ABS filament to get you started printing right away.
